Natasha Bedingfield recorded this as the end-of-credits song for Tangled: The Series. The American 2D-animated musical fantasy television series is based on Disney's 2010 computer-animated film Tangled. It is centered around the German fairy tale character Rapunzel, who in the original Brothers Grimm story was a young princess with long magical hair who yearned to leave her secluded tower.
The TV series highlights Rapunzel's newfound freedom and her exploration of the world surrounding her. Bedingfield told Billboard magazine the collaboration was a perfect match, since she easily relates to Rapunzel's unrelenting curiosity and excitement. "I wake up in the morning and I'm like, 'There are a lot of experiences outside my door that I could be missing if I don't get out of the house,'" she said. "That's the way I look at the world."
